Course Outcomes
SPECIFIC OUTCOME 1
Understand and identify the importance of the climate including aspects such as air pressure, wind, humidity, temperature, frost, rainfall and the importance of keeping weather records.
SPECIFIC OUTCOME 2
Understand the importance of land preparation and the different tillage systems.The learner will learn and identify the importance of fertilisation and with the connection of crop establishment.
SPECIFIC OUTCOME 3
Understand the different crop weeds and pests and the importance of their management. The learner will be able to identify crop diseases such as parasitic and non-parasitic diseases and the control of these diseases.
SPECIFIC OUTCOME 4
The learner will be able to understand the importance of lime, potassium, phosphorus and nitrogen and the importance of these elements in the soils as well as different sources of these elements.

The learner will be able to understand the importance of the other important elements and trace elements.
